Yoga therapy for Anxiety

Claire's own history with Anxiety and depression lead to a lifestyle change into yoga, and this has been a driving force behind becoming a yoga teacher; to be able to help others with mental health concerns find yoga and the many benefits it has.

Having undertaken the Minded Institutes Yoga therapy for Anxiety certification certified by the IAYT Claire can now offer Yoga therapy for stress and anxiety.

What is Yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy (for anxiety) consists of a brief introduction with each client before intake on either a group course or individual sessions. 

Using breath work and carefully selected asana and mindfulness practices aimed at helping alleviate physical symptoms of stress and anxiety. 

The aim of this will be to give each practitioner tools to take away into every day life. 

Please note this is not talking therapy and is only suitable for those experiencing anxiety and/ or stress. 

1-2-1 sessions

I have 2 spaces open for 1-2-1 students at present.

The process:

1- We arrange an initial video call or socially distanced meeting to get to know each other and for me to answer any questions you may have.

We will discuss a brief history and any symptoms of your anxiety/ why you have chosen to seek yoga therapy.

2- After the health form has been filled in we will arrange regular time that we can meet face to face for at least 6 weeks.

Initially 6 weeks must be committed to to ensure that you benefit from the work that we will be doing, as consistency is key, after this we can make it as often as you need to.

3- The first session will consist of a breath assessment and a gentle movement practice together for me to gain more of an insight of the specific practices that will help you. 

4- Each session then will be outlined to you in advance as to what you may need, giving a generalised outline as to what practices we will be doing to avoid any anxiety about what you may be asked to do. 


Initial video call or meeting is FREE

First 6 weeks £180 which makes each yoga therapy session £30 per hour.

Any 6 weeks blocks pre paid for will remain at this price. 

One off classes outside of the options above are £40 per hour.
